NEW YORK - (Rezox TV) --
As you are driving into the Coney Island Brooklyn area your eyes almost automatically go towards this metal looking round object in the sky. You have to tilt your head up to get a good look at this object. If it is night time you are guaranteed to see the aura of light that it creates into the dark sky surrounding it. Its big bright lights it reads “The Wonder Wheel.” When you enter into one of the world’s most historic amusement parks you excitingly run straight to the ticket booth to purchase your tickets to ride this most talked about ferris wheel.

During its prime, Coney Island amusement park was the place where the best and biggest of everything was built.  So, when designer Charles Herman designed this 150-foot tall ferris wheel it was no surprise to anyone that he picked the amusement park at Coney Island to be the home for this wheel.  Construction began in 1918 and was finished in 1920 by the Eccentric Ferris Wheel Company. The wheel opened to rave reviews and since has gotten rave reviews till today.

The Wonder Wheel has always attracted many different people. Within the 89 years people from all over the world have waited online to get a chance to experience the view the Wonder Wheel has to offer. The carts are filled with families, friends and most of all couples who are looking for a romantic experience. The wheel itself can hold 144 people at once. When you are on the Wonder Wheel one is likely to hear screams of joy and some sort of rolling, cranking sound. The Wonder Wheel is unlike most ferris wheels in that it has eight stationery cars and sixteen that roll along tracks within the wheel's structure to create a new ride within itself. The Wonder Wheel ride was named a New York City Landmark in 1989 and has very well been taken care of through out the years.

If you are in the area be sure to head straight to the historic park of Coney Island and ride the Wonder Wheel. Like all of the experiences at Coney Island it will not disappoint you. Whether you have rode the Wonder Wheel for the first time, or twenty five times the view is always worth seeing. The Wonder Wheel is a unique Coney Island experience and is a must ride for residents and visitors.
