London 2012 Associate Producer - Westminster
Summary:
If you're studying journalism/media arts and want to learn about how things are done in the world of news production, then come and join our London 2012 team! This position is ideal for a student in school or a recent graduate looking to expand their portfolio.
This candidate will gain an incredible amount of experience over the month that we will be in London covering the 2012 Games and will have real broadcast & written materials to add to their portfolio.
Felice News is the world's most popular all-positive news outlet, an interactive think tank, and technology powerhouse of 120+ dedicated reporters from every contient of the world (yes, that includes Antarctica!). We are seeking an ambitious and insightful intern to help with advertising sales for the London 2012 Olympics.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include finding potential story subjects & ideas, pitching them at our daily pitch meeting. You will play a key part in curating the news events that are eventually inserted into that day's show. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, organized, ambitious person who wants to join a fast growing news outlet and help us turn the page and expand ourselves.
Talent
You're really good at what you do, and you understand that quality always trumps quantity. You have a passion for news & the good that can be done with media when piloted by the right people.
Broadcast & Written
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive Knowledge of Broadcast & Written news production
- Ability to meet deadlines & handle multiple tasks
Administrative
- Attention to detail
- Organized and efficient
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Soft Skills
- Candidate must have a positive attitude and be excited to be involved with a growing brand
- Work hard, play hard mentality

About Felice:
Started in 2008, as Weekend News Today, Felice News is a Toronto, Canada based not-for-profit news organization, catering to the world's citizens, who are tired of the negative news that the traditional press report. We have reporters on every continent (Yes, that includes Antarctica!). All of our reporters are aged 12-25, in a mission to get more youth involved in world affairs, and occupy their time to ensure that they are not becoming involved with the wrong crowds. Our founder is only a mere 14 years old. In Italian, the Word 'Felice' translates to 'Happy' in english. As we report purely positive news, this name fits us perfectly!
Some of our recent work includes interviews with the Dalai Lama, US President Barack Obama, Canadian PM Stephen Harper & music icon, Lady Gaga.
