Last month, Mr. Hyeon-oh Cho, the president of Ulsan City Hospital, treated 4 Mongolians with physical disabilities, free of charge. He said that, "as long as I am able, I want to provide a gift of hopes to those in Mongol who are physically-deformed and need treatments. The people there lack proper medical facilities to treat these diseases." Mr. Cho is a specialist in orthopedics. He said that he wants to visit Mongol every year and bring about 10 patients to Korea and provide free surgeries for these people. He revealed hopes of building a bridge between Korean medical facilities and private hospitals in Mongol.

A nine-year old Elbensopt from Mongol is hospitalized at Mr. Cho's hospital. On the 18th of last month, she received a surgery for her deformed toes. Elbensopt's mother Mai, aged 29, said, "I am so grateful to Mr. Cho for treating my daughter. It makes me so tear up in joy to see my daughter so happy. I bought a pair of nice shoes to give her after she gets better."
Tamir, who suffered from pelvis deformation, and Chaereung, who had degenerative arthritis, also received free operations at Mr. Cho's hospital. In addition to providing free surgeries, Mr. Cho also took on the burden of taking care of their medical expenses and visa issuance by calling the Mongolian Embassy himself.

His passion for helping those suffering in Mongol began in August 2008 when he went on a medical mission to Mongol with the members of the Ulsan Medical Association. On his mission, Mr. Cho saw that the medical facilities in Mongol are inadequate and far less developed and decided to use his specialty to help those in need.
